Have others had problems with doing Cpanel account moves? I have noticed that it does not move subdomains or addon domains very well.

When customers get moved this seems to be one of the biggest complaints about the move.

Is there anyway to keep this from not happening? It does not seem to happen everytime either but it happens enough to be frustrating.

The next frustrating thing is that if they are not transferred you cannot add them again. Cpanel says it already exists. my thoughts on this are because the directories exist so they cannot be added of course because it cannot create a directory with that name because Duh it is already there.

What is the best way to overcome this? I was thinking of renaming them and then adding the addon domains and subdomains again. Then just moving the files in the other directories over and deleting the old ones. Will this work? This is also alot of busy work.

Thanks in advance.

There is a cpmove file created on the server you are moving the accounts from, until that file is removed you would not be able to so again..

I have only seen problems moving very large accounts..
