Cpanel newbie - Disk Space Usage - exceeed 90% primarily due to emails

Hi guys

I'm new to cPanel although I have been building websites for a while. I have just inherited an account hosted via a cPanel access and it is already in breach of its quota - it stands at 471 MB used v 500 MB limit - upon checking the disk space usage 380 MB is due to emails - I have checked the webmail and trash and there is nothing on there.

Question: How do I reduce the 380 MB email usage please?

Your hosting provider will be able to give you a complete breakdown of exactly where the mailbox usage is.
