I have root access and I want the news to appear for resellers and not the reseller's customers. It doesn't seem to work whatever way I do it. I don't know why.

    root>>News
    reseller>>News
    reseller's customer>> No News

For example, if I created a reseller account named Bob with the news from root on it and Bob created a shared account called Tom. Tom shouldn't display news and no new accounts under Bob would see the news either. Only Bob would display the news.

With regards to news (displayed in the cPanel interface), WHM considers every hosting customer on the server to be a customer of root (and a reseller if applicable). So any news set by the reseller will be displayed in the news section for all users on the server.

There is currently no mechanism for displaying news only to resellers on cPanel/WHM.
