Ive created a subdomain called cdn...then when i go to create a cname record via the simple dns zone editor...and upon trying to create a cname for this subdomain it tells me "That name is reserved (already in use)."

Ive went into the whm and looked at my dns editor and it seems that its automatically creating an A record for this subdomain. Ive tried changing this to a cname, but this is not working either.

any suggestions??? thanks for the help!

Hello :)

Check to make sure an "A" record or "CNAME" record does not already exist for that entry. Keep in mind that an "A" record is created automatically when you add a subdomain. Also, what error message do you receive when attempting to modify the "A" entry via Web Host Manager?

Thank you.
