Hello,

Last year I was looking into installing WHM/CPanel onto Amazon EC2 and after doing some research I saw that installation on Amazon EC2 was not supported. Its been a while now and I just wanted to check to see whether or not this has changed at all. I saw some threads where people were able to get installed. I just wanted to confirm whether or not this is finally fully supported and something I can finally do without any hacks.

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section.

Re: WHM Cpanel on Amazon EC2

WHM/Cpanel runs on EC2 but is tricky to install.

Not hard to get it a running once you'v configured it to run within NAT, like pointing the web server to internal IP while DNS has the public IP.

And to use the Name Servers you need to use the Amazon Route 53 Service, then you can point your domain to your Name Servers generated by route 53.

Re: WHM Cpanel on Amazon EC2

Thanks singh9211. Is there any web tutorial for this? Amazon's stuff is clearly made by engineers for engineers. Thanks for any pointers!
