Hello

We are currently planning on installing cPanel on a server with 64 bit architecture. My question is: Is the 64 bit version stable/safe enough to install on a production server? Are we to expect any problems during or after the instalation?

Thank you in advance!

Hey denver,

I installed CPanel onto that exact version of CentOS about a week ago, and its working fine.

There were a few issues during install - but these were due to some problems with some of the recent cpanel updates. I waited 12 hours, and then did a upcp and it fixed it all up - the discussion can be found here.

Go on, have a guess
If you do go the x86_64 route you can run into a lot of perl module library problems, but they're usually resolved fairly easily.

We will be installing the 64 bit version to see how it goes. Thanks again!
