CPanel on Debian (etch)

    Before you all tell me that its not supported on Debian and not actually help... I know it isn't supported on Debain.

    Still reading... cool :)

    I can install cPanel, it mostly works, just trying to track down a few minor problems that are stopping a few services from running.

    From what I can figure... the installation of cPanel doesnt create the "mysq" and "named" user/groups... this is what stops mysql and named from running. My problem is... does anyone know how to fix this? and if not, does anyone know what script is supposed to create these users so I can have a look at why it doesn't?

    If you are going to post: "Dont use Debian" or any other such stupid response along those lines, dont bother, I dont want to hear it.

    I think you can do it simply like:

    groupadd mysql
    useradd -g mysql -s /bin/false -c "MySQL Daemon" mysql
