Are cpanel updates for freebsd released just as often as they are for Linux? Will I be missing out on any features by using Cpanel on FreeBSD as opposed to on Linux? Anything to watch out for in particular? What version of freebsd is best used with cpanel right now? I think cpanel has some problems on 5.1 if I am not mistaken. What would you all suggest? This is for a Dual Opteron system in Hardware RAID-1 if that might make a difference.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have cpanel latest installed on FreeBSD 4.9 on 3 machines, with 500+ clients on each box, and have had no problems.

    My Hardware: P4 2.6ghz, 1GB Ram

I have seen small bugs, but same as I have seen with their RedHat version.

Overall, my FreeBSD cpanel boxes run much better then my RH cpanel boxes.

    Regards,

    Wyatt

We have 13 boxes on 4.8 and they all run great. Same config as wyatt12 and 6 machines with RAID 1. Some bugs, I do notice FREEBSD is not updated as fast as the Linux versions.

    Thanks
