I know that CPanel only works on linux, I have been using a windows server (mostly because i dont want to convert and lose all my settings and stuff that i already have set up) So just out of curiosity, are there any plans to make CPanel for windows? (any at all?)

The old website showed which OS and flavours were supported.... Can't find it since they redid it sorry.

I do remember though that (apparently) they were developing on cPanel / WHM for Win Server and Mac OS X Server.

(Also considering they're hiring ASP.NET programmers right now - but that could be anything).

So keep reading the cpanel.com website. I doubt anything will be released in the near future.

I think for windows your best solution would be Plesk.

Johannes

A windows version is under development. However I do not know a release schedule for it (different department).

cPanel for Windows is in development and we will be posting information about it to our website (cPanel.net) on when it will be available etc. which should be in the coming weeks/months.

The world NEEDS cPanel for Windows!

We use Plesk on our Windows 2003 servers and it is a NIGHTMARE.

Check out the Plesk for Windows forums and you'll get an idea of what it's like.
http://forum.plesk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=114

They just released a new version (8.1) and most users are too scared to upgrade because we're still traumatized from our experiences with previous upgrades.

If cPanel for Win Server is released we will migrate our servers to it as soon as is humanly possible.
