    Hello All,

I am looking for an answer is there any cPanel option or icon is missing like the Webmail icon in mail area while logging in as root by switching the cPanel area of a particular domains from the WHM itself ( any WHM or cPanel version ).

I just noticed that the webmail icon is missing while logging as root in cPanel area of an account from WHM itself. Is that because of any default settings in the WHM ?

    Thank you.

There are a few items that do not work well with reseller override and we do work to stop access to that functionality when one is in reseller override mode. Another notable example of this is phpMyAdmin if a my.cnf file is not setup. If a my.cnf file is setup for that cPanel account then reseller override can work, so we do not hide the icon - but if we detect a problem due to a lack of such a file, we go ahead and stop phpMyAdmin from loading. Much of this has to do with technical back-end stuff when things are executed when reseller override is being used (e.g. cpsrvd running as the reseller user rather than the cPanel user and permissions issues that ensue).

I am also unable to locate a setting in WHM that would enable webmail access via reseller override.

I do not believe icons to these features are hidden from view of root logging into an account though.

If the Webmail icon is missing from cPanel for a user, then the likely reasons would be:

    a) WHM > Packages > Feature Manager > Edit a Feature List dropdown for the user's feature list (so if they aren't using the default feature list) has "Webmail" unchecked
    b) WHM > Packages > Feature Manager > Edit a Feature List dropdown for the default feature list has "Webmail" unchecked (if the user is using the default feature list)
    c) WHM > Packages > Feature Manager > Edit a Feature List dropdown for the disabled feature list has "Webmail" unchecked, which means it is disabled
    d) A non-standard theme other than x3 is being used or a branded theme, which might be missing the necessary interface options
    e) The /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x3/dynamicui/ folder has a .conf file in it that includes the code to remove that item (discussed at http://forums.cpanel.net/f145/webmail-icon-cpanel-frustrating-227442.html#post935201 location)

If none of the above are the issue, I would suggest checking /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log location upon loading the cPanel for that account to see if any errors are occurring.
