We can't change passwords from cpanel on 1 server.
    The typical problems ( /usr/bin/passwd - s flag ) have been
    checked and are OK.
Modification from WHM is still working.
Would be very thankful for any hint.

    CentOS 5 - 64
    Cpanel 11.15.0-RELEASE

    Best Regards

    Hi,

Its seems like the problem with passwd binary file (/usr/bin/passwd)

    solution:
    ======
To check whether the file permission is 4511
    if not ..change to

    chmod 4511 /usr/bin/passwd

    Thanks:)

Thanks, but this was the first thing we checked already

    -r-S--x--x 1 root root 27768 Jan 6 2007 passwd

    This should be correct.

    Best Regards,

What errors does cPanel report when attempting to change the password?

    Thanks for your reply.

No errors at all, if you click on the "detail" link, only an empty window will open.

    Best Regards,

Perhaps we need open a support ticket, don't look as if we can solve it otherwise.

Typically, when you can't get a satisfactory response from the user community, I recommend submitting a support ticket to your cPanel Licensing Provider so they can provide assistance.
