Does anyone know why would we have 50 instances of cpaneld running on a particular server all the time?

Is this normal at all? Also, have any of you experienced extremely high loads while running the logs with awstats turned on?

Thanks!

Same Problem Here...

Yeah, we have high server loads, and it seems to be partially because of awstats.

We have the analog stats and webalizer disabled, as the server load is really high with them all on.

Have you found a way to make the server loads go down, or is there a way to ensure that awstats only updates when the server load is below a certain load level?

I saw something on a website that said this:

cron [-l load_avg] [-x [ext,sch,proc,pars,load,misc,test,bit]]

Anyone have any experience with cron that could help out.

Thanks in advance....
