Hello everyone :)

I have a CPanel box and I just installed PerlDesk a couple of days ago and now, every night, I get a warning from CPanel as shown below....

Note: If this is the first time you recieved this mail, it contains the history for the entire month so far.

Below are the recently upload scripts that contain code to send email. You may wish to inspect them to ensure they are not sending out SPAM.

/home/account/public_html/cgi-bin/include/email.cgi:389:
/home/account/public_html/cgi-bin/include/email.cgi:390: open(MAIL, "|/usr/sbin/sendmail -t") || print "Unable to send mail: $!";
/home/account/public_html/cgi-bin/include/email.cgi:391: print MAIL "To: $newfrom\n";
---
/home/account/public_html/cgi-bin/include/email.cgi:389:
/home/account/public_html/cgi-bin/include/email.cgi:390: open(MAIL, "|/usr/sbin/sendmail -t") || print "Unable to send mail: $!";
/home/account/public_html/cgi-bin/include/email.cgi:391: print MAIL "To: $newfrom\n";
---
Is this something I should be concerned about?
And if so, how can I prevent it from being abused??

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thank You ;)

cpanel is just telling you that the scripts in that nightly email can send mail from your server. Probably 99 percent of the time the scripts are legit and no action is required.
