My users are seeing in there cpanel control (under Info > Versions& Paths) that the current version of perl is 5.008.

I know the actual version is 5.8 as I wrote a script that runs the command `perl -v` and outputs it to the browser.

Is there a fix? Also the "info" link next to the version does not work, as it goes to an unfound page.

It's not causing a problem, just confusing people.

by the way I'm using the "xcontroller" skin, but the x skin also reports the wrong perl version.

Its actually printing out the version+patchlevel.

This is tends to confuse most people. We'll change it to the human readable version in the next edge.

Cpanel also reports the wrong OpenSSL version. Have you tried recompiling a version of easyapache to the latest version then trying to list the version in WHM?
