Hello Community,

hope everyone is safe.

Could someone please explain to me the logic , how can I set up a reseller package / or ACL Limits with 300 GB of space with ability to create 5 subaccounts and use that 300 GB allocated space ..

Now when i try to do so the reseller can't create accounts because the space is already allocated to the main account

thx in advance

You allocate only the minimum needed for the reseller's account.

Hello,

and thank you for reaching out

still not clear to me

I have created a reseller account with a 300 GB storage, i have also created a Reseller ACL allowing this account to create 5 subaccounts
when i limit accounts that can create by Resource Usage in the "Reseller Nameservers and Privileges"
the reseller can't create subaccounts and use packages gets this message
when i lift the limit accounts that can create by Resource Usage
the reseller can create packages that are exceeding his own storage limit

question: could you please guide me, what should I set up to allow my reseller to create subaccounts and limit him to his own storage limits, e.g. so that he can't get out of the 300 GB limit

any advices are welcome

thx

You have things setup based on how much disk they have allocated. If you want it based on what they are actually using, the check the box that says 'allow overselling'.

Is that what you are looking for?

yes @ffeingol , thank you very

The issue with "Resource Usage" solved with enabling allow to oversell !

Now I am struggling with assigning and creating a package for a reseller.

Even though there is a limit of 300 GB, a reseller still can create a package with 400 GB of space and assign a new account to that package.

am i missing something?

@z3d3m0n - in order to restrict the reseller to their own limits, you'll need to do the following as the root user in the Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges:

In that example, the reseller is limited to 2G of space and 2G of bandwidth. Then, when the reseller access their WHM and tries to create an account, they are presented with this:

Is that what you were looking to find out?
