I have been using the server for more than a year. I do backup to the secondary drive. Everything worked fine until Dec 23, 2004.

I look at the cpbackup/daily folder and see that all *.tar.gz files have the date Dec 23, 2004. The weekly and monthly backup files are even older.

    I did:

    root@server01 [~]# /scripts/cpbackup
Daily Backup is up to date

I have more than 30 accounts used by different users. I have also made many changes to some websites. I have even created a new hosting account xxxx but I do not see the file xxxx.tar.gz. It is impossible that the backup is up to date.

I have not made any changes to "WHM >> Backup Configuration". Anyway, I took a look and see no mistake.

I am sure you checked but what is the date on the daily directory?

The daily and monthly directories show today' date. But is it because I deleted some files inside them today (to see if /scripts/cpbackup created them back)?

the script checks to see if the date is older and if so it continues, else it stops.

if you want to take the risk (what the heck it is not working anyway)

you could do a mv daily to olddaily, this might force the script to do it's job.

I don't think I want to try that at the moment. If it failed and I restore the files from the backup's backup, all the dates will be updated. I have created a helpdesk ticket and will see what the tech guys say.

I also found this ticket: http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=5179&highlight=backup+date . I tried the suggestion but it doesn't work.
