So I recently just tried to add a subdomain to my account and I get the following Hooksadmin error:

There was a problem creating the sub-domain: hooksadmin had an unknown error

I have checked all domain resources for the account and they are perfectly fine (unlimited) so I'm not sure what the issue could be here.

cPanel actually creates the subdomain and FTP directory but you can't connect to the subdomain itself even with files in the directory. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello :)

Please check the contents of the following directory:

    Code:
    # /usr/local/cpanel/hooks/subdomain
Typically, the error message you reported is the result of invalid custom entries in the following file:

    Code:
    # /usr/local/cpanel/hooks/subdomain/addsubdomain
Do you have any third-party applications such as Nginx installed that could have created the above file? If so, you may want to consult with the support for that application to see if you need to update it or modify any custom hooks. If not, you can disable it via:

    Code:
    # mv /usr/local/cpanel/hooks/subdomain/addsubdomain /root/addsubdomain-hook-backup
    # /usr/local/cpanel/bin/register_hooks
    Thank you.
