Hello, thanks for the response
This was the exact method that i used:

Code:
cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
nano /etc/yum.repos.d/MariaDB.repo
-----repo info-----
MariaDB 5.5 CentOS repository list - created 2014-07-16 20:59 UTC
# http://mariadb.org/mariadb/repositories/
[mariadb]
name = MariaDB
baseurl = Index of /5.5/centos6-amd64
gpgkey=https://yum.mariadb.org/RPM-GPG-KEY-MariaDB
gpgcheck=1
----------------------------
yum --enablerepo=remi-test --disablerepo=remi install compat-mysql55
yum remove mysql* mysql-server mysql-devel mysql-libs
yum remove MySQL55*
yum install MariaDB-devel MariaDB-client MariaDB-server –y
I did not know that MariaDB is not supported by cpanel :confused:
is there any way that can I upgrade cPanel avoiding checking of MySQL?
or is there a safe way back to mysql? (it's a production server)
thanks

Ok, thanks for the guide, It can be said that I only needed to run:

Code:
/scripts/update_local_rpm_versions --edit target_settings.MySQL50 uninstalled
/scripts/update_local_rpm_versions --edit target_settings.MySQL51 uninstalled
/scripts/update_local_rpm_versions --edit target_settings.MySQL55 uninstalled
because I have installed MariaDB

Thanks
