cpanel 11.28.52
phpMyadmin 3.3.8

When I click thorugh to phpmyadmin as [email protected] from cPanel, I can see my users databases and tables etc, but am unable to run sql queries on them.

I get the error
#1045 - Access denied for user 'user'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I am able to run the queries ok if I login to phpmyadmin as root, but just not when logged in as account owner from cpanel.

I also notice that when creating a database user, granting all privileges does not grant the "execute" privilege. I am not sure if the problem is related?

Hi chips12,

First think I'd do is to log out of cPanel/WHM completely and close all browser windows/tabs related to that server, and then remove all browser cookies and session cookies. In 11.28, we introduced some authentication logic to phpMyAdmin. It's possible that you have a session file that spans from 11.26. If so, we need to remove it and get a new one!

If that doen't resolve the no-query behavior, I recommend opening a support ticket. You're welcome to reference this forum post (and please PM me the ticket number).

As far as the 'EXECUTE' privilege, this is a known issue. A fix has been prepared and will be released soon in an 11.28 maintenance release. You can watch the changelog (11.28 or All Versions Atom feed) for case 44580.
