I dunno if anyone else is experiencing the same.. but the recent updates to 5.0 royally screwed basically every configuration on the system having to do with CPanel. So now here we are.. rebuilding configurations for (Who knows.) three-dozen systems to get it all working again.. *SIGH* It worked so well before.. why screw with it?!

Specifics would be nice.
The entire thing is fuxored eh?
That blows. ;)

There are countless threads on the major issues which have been revamped & improved, 99.9% of anything with CPanel 5 has to do with mail, and the ability to virtually nest mail for parked & subdomains.

If you are having additional issues then you need to point them out specifically.

Basically, yeah..

Webmail screwed, httpd.conf entries lost, system hangs when creating new domains, that sorta thing. I mean, it's just a conglomeration of everything.. and to top it all off:

Removing HTTPD conf .... &--- ?!!!!! That's....... nice.
Removing PROFTPD ..... &--- Sure, why not.
Adding it back to ipaddrpool....Done
Removing Control Panel file....Done
Removing Proftpd File....Done
Cleaning passwd,shadow,group....user adm: directory /var/adm does not exist
user news: directory /var/spool/news does not exist
user uucp: directory /var/spool/uucp does not exist
user gopher: directory /var/gopher does not exist
user ftp: directory /var/ftp does not exist
user mailnull: directory /var/spool/mqueue does not exist
user pcap: program /bin/nologin does not exist
user jimbob: no group 799
user immoch: no group 1157
user allsoft: no group 1216
user lgx: no group 1186
pwck: no changes
invalid group name `4ctekcom'
duplicate group entry

delete line `tparish:x:1134:'? duplicate group entry

delete line `ediaudit:x:1378:'? duplicate group entry

delete line `ediaudit:x:1131:ediaudit'? duplicate group entry

delete line `tparish:x:1395:tparish'? grpck: no changes

C'mon guys, do you ever honestly test things before releasing? I lean sorely towards 'NO'.

Nothing changed with the killacct script execpt that errors are now actually show to the user. They were there before, just never displayed. Just because you see them now doesn't mean its a bug.

It looks like you received a special edition of a cpanel update with so much fuxoring!

Was httpd.conf actually taken away? How on earth was your web server functioning? ;)

I'd like to get a copy of that killacct script. If thats really what it says then I think the proper term would be you have been HaxOred, not fuxored :)

Don't start with that 'HaxOred' stuff. Everytime something screws up, people say we were 'hacked'. If any 'hacking' has gone into play, it's the system fsck'n itself up.. as hokey as it is (Linux + CPanel = one big bug in itself.).

No, httpd.conf wasn't totally blank.. but that's happened before. However, large quantities of entries were suddenly dropped from the system.. and I think you guys need to watch how you post that output. ;)

Some newbie would freak out seeing that sort of thing.

Where could I send the copy of killacct?

missing or not

Same erros on our servers. Except we just installed cpanel.
So, I cannot say that the cpanel deleted something or not.

Well.. cpanel works and I'm not complaining about the error messages....

in this case, the error messages are there just for the system to interact with you, so you will not get bored staying in front of it and look at a black screen... :)
