Hi folks,

I'm struggling to determine how cPanel/WHM sends out backup notifications. I'm running 11.28.27 (STABLE) and do not receive any notification (completed successfully or not) after WHM backups have completed. I receive all other email notifications from cPanel/WHM (Logwatch, etc.) but nothing for backups.

As an experiment, I trashed all backups on the server and ran cpbackup manually. I received a backup notification email stating that backups were successful.

I can reproduce this behaviour over several VPSes that we run. All System Contacts are in place as is the overall server contact email address in Basic Settings.

Yes.

This is what I have to do get an email triggered by WHM backups:

...
Notification => [email protected]se via EMAIL [level => 2]
The email that comes in has a log attached with the same information as above.

The log appears to be normal, IMO.
Not sure how helpful this is, but the last line in that log has this:
via EMAIL [level => 2]

Comparing to mine which has a 3. And I get an email daily.

In WHM > Server Contacts > Contact Manager, where you find this: cPanel Backup set this one to Low and see if that does any good.
