cPanel / WHM Backup script User

Hi,

I have WHM setup to do nightly backups of my site (single site on a dedicated server).

Just wondering what user this script runs as. Reason being is that I have made certain files/folders on my /home/account owned by root:root and have got some Permission Denied error messages in the cpanel backup log.

Does the cpanel backup script run as a non root user?

Does the cpanel backup script run as a non root user?

The "tar" process is executed as the cPanel account user.

Please ensure that the directories and files involved have sufficient access permissions and ownership that allows at least read access to the cPanel account user.
