Cpanel/WHM crashed not running

Server is an 8gB VPS with around 3.5gB in use

WHM was fine 2 days ago, yesterday buycpanel renewed my licenses

Today WHM is not working, get log in screen then get white screen with VPS optimised bar at top but nothing else

Done some checks in ssh

Nothing has changed on the server (ie no updates or installs) for weeks

Cpanel is set to auto update and is on

CLOUDLINUX 6.4 x86_64 kvm – server WHM 11.36.0 (build 21)

And like i say only other thing was a license renewal yesterday, although buy cpanel have checked this and say its a server problem not license, i checked the license (and reissued it) and its active and seems ok

Any clues would be appreciated

Try updating new kernel. I had similar issue with previous kernel but dedicated box not VPS

latest is 2.6.32-379.22.1.lve1.2.17.el6.i686 - I had issue with previous kernel. Try updating and see the outcome

Ok, whilst i was here buycpanel were investigating again

They moved pluginscache* files from /var/cpanel to /root/bcp

cpanel/whm now works fine and we are still on the older version of cloud linux

My question would be why was it working for over a year and now the files in the old location (original) caused it to crash and moving fixed it

I have now updated CL by the way to the latest version
