Hello,

I've been selling hosting for many years now but always shared or reseller plans so my provider always took care of everything and every one of my users have their cPanel (WHM too in case of resellers) but now I'm planning on moving forward into big dedicated boxes to sell VPS containers and also have some containers for myself to keep selling shared as usual.

I have lots of technical questions but my hosting provider is taking care of them. What I have to find on my own is about cPanel licensing. From my understanding, I need to buy some cPanel VPS licences (maybe 10 to start with) so every time WHMCS creates a new VPS container for a new customer, cPanel is automatically installed with its own license.

So far so good but what happens if that VPS customer (or even me inside my containers) add new shared host accounts? Will they have their own cPanel using the VPS license? Are those included under the cPanel VPS license?

Oh and one more question... how well does WHMCS handle cPanel installation and licensing? Specially on VPSs. Will I have to worry about anything other than buying more cPanel licenses when I'm about to run short? What if I become a cPanel reseller so everything takes care of itself? How does WHMCS handle that?

Thanks a lot in advance!!!!

whmcs does not handle cpanel or licensing or installation. there are 3party modules that intergate with manage 2 if you are a cpanel partner and some vps software can auto install cpanel or you can build your own template

Best if you current provider is a cpanel partner is to keep using them to get your licenses if they are not a partner
find a provider that is. When you meet partner minimums apply for your own partner NOC

you are confusing WHM with cpanel when they work in tandem one server (IP) 1 license an you can install as many domains as you like (resources permitting of course) and they will all have access to their own cPanel user
