Hi!
I feel this function is good, but I can only add one news ?
Why not make it like the news in WHM ? I mean like a guest book, clients can read all the previous message.

Append your news by paragraphs &p& &/p& or table in html.
It’s not a news it's one file which you can put all of your news or append whatever you want.

Instead of typing in TEXT, treat it as an html page as you are able to include HTML code.

Which themes are updated with the news file?

Do we have to add the file to our own themes manually (probably a daft question!)?

News are shown by this cpanel tag &cpanel News=&displaynews()&& default and iconic themes have this tag you can put it to your current themes then cpanel will show news in your themes too.

I just updated my cpanel version and added a messege to be displayed in the control panel, but it is not being displayed.

grep'ing the /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/default directory for &displaynews& also turns up nothing... am I doing something wrong?

That tag is available in this file
/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/default/menumain.html

Also make sure you put your news in the right text area

Global cPanel News (displayed in all cPanels [including resellers' customer]):

Global WHM News (displayed in all resellers' WHMs):

Resold Customer News (displayed in all resold customers' cPanels [resellers' customers]):

cPanel News (displayed in all of your customers cPanels):
