Our web host (Ezzi.Net) is discontinuing to offer cPanel & WHM VPS Optimized to all their hosting clients effective Jan 31, 2020. We must purchase a license ourselves: Cloud License. The only accounts are for our websites (we own and operate): one account per domain for a total of nine. Am I correct to assume we only need a Solo License? More importantly, what are the steps to migrate to a self-owned license? Is it something cPanel can handle from their end? Bit of urgency as cPanel & WHM "go away" at the end of this month.

If you have nine accounts on one server, you would need the Pro plan that covers up to 30 accounts.
You could just combine all domains into one account - then it would be sufficient with the Solo plan.

As noted by @DennisMidjord if you wanted to do Solo you'd have to merge all the accounts into one account.

Otherwise you'd qualify for Pro on a VPS/Cloud Server as noted. If you couldn't merge all of them but could merge down to just 5 accounts you'd qualify for the Admin plan which is up to 5, which may be an option.

Thank you both for that info! What about migrating to a self-owned license?

Can you clarify what you mean by self-owned?
Sorry, bad choice of words. Currently our web host (Ezzi.Net) is the licensee of cPanel/WHM. However, at the end of the month they are terminating their license, and we (web hosting clients) are responsible for purchasing a license in order to continue using cPanel/WHM.
