Folks,

When we have a new user sign up for hosting via WHMCS with their gmail account , 50% of emails go to the inbox and 50% go to the spam folder.

The emails that make to the inbox are titled

Welcome
Invoice Payment confirmation
Customer Invoice

The emails that go to spam (are the most important ones!)

New account information
Order Confirmation

All originate from the 1 email address.

How do others over come this gmail stupidity? I have search the forum and found no clear method to over come this. People recommend that we have DKIM / SPIF setup correctly, which they are and verified by the various tools. If a user uses a hotmail address its all OK.

The IP address has also been checked against a blacklist and all OK. Thanks for any suggestions.

I guess nobody has customers with gmail !
Did you ask the customer to click not spam button in gmail for all the "New account information / Order Confirmation" mail ?

If the customer do that one time then from next time onwards it won't go to the spam folder.

Does the WHMCS account exist on a dedicated IP on the server? I don't know what email it's sending from, but if it isn't a dedicated IP, you might try switching over to one and setting up the WHM > Exim Configuration Editor options to send from that dedicated IP.

Are you using SMTP Authentication (with an email ID that you created and password) to send out those mails?

Is there any change in the headers of the mails sent, between the ones receive and the ones junked?
