Hi,

Very frustrating…have been trying to install cPanel all day, but the installation hangs at the same place each time:

2013-02-18 06:12:14 246 (DEBUG): [20130218.061213] [7751]
2013-02-18 06:12:14 246 (DEBUG): [20130218.061213] [7751] No such list "mailman"
2013-02-18 06:12:14 246 (DEBUG): [20130218.061213] [7751]

The cursor just blinks after that. We can't put in a ticket because we don't have a support code (since WHM isn't installed yet). We try e-mailing support, but the request is rejected.

Please advise how we can install cPanel, or at least how we can get support from cPanel to install the product we're paying for. It is frustrating that it won't install properly, and we can't contact support about it.

Thanks,

Mark

It's not error
While you install cPanel open the new terminal and do ssh to your server. Then run the following script which shows you the errors if it exist. :)
Code:
tail -n100 -f /var/log/cpanel-install-thread0.log

I'm having exactly the same issue installing the latest cPanel on a VPS CentOS release 6.3 (Final). Very little information on this that I can find.

Same here. The problem went away for us, and now it's back.

cPanel, thanks for the offer to install it for us, but you'd probably use the same commands that we use (following the standard installation process).

What I'd rather see is a solution to this issue. It's very frustrating to wait two hours and then have the installation hang...especially when the problem keeps happening and we lose a day or more trying to get it installed.

And @greenhost, it definitely IS an error when the cPanel installation stalls and won't complete.

cPanel, can you identify and resolve this issue?

Having our staff perform the installation for you puts us in a much better position to identify and resolve this issue.
