Running upcp --force is not updating cPanel on one of our servers. It is freezing at the mysql update section of the update. Here is the area that it is failing in:

Does anyone have an idea of how to get around this problem?

    Thank you

To isolate the problem, you could try running the MySQL update process on it's own:

    /scripts/mysqlup

Update says MySQL is up to day when doing this.

    MySQL Setup Script Version 6.0
Fetching version information from http://updates.cpanel.net/mysqlinstall/version (CURRENT)....Done
This is the MySQL 4.0.25 installer release number 0 for platform
    MySQL-4.0.25 is up to date
    Install Complete

It is very strange that after I ran the mySQL update and then ran upcp, it is working now.

    Thanks

Odd. Is MySQL OK and running v4.0.25?

Yes, mySQL is working just fine and it is on version 4.0.25 - it is strange, but it worked.
