Trying to upgrade cPanel from version WHM 11.38.0 (build 19) to current stable. I tried fired via WHM, everything showed as sucessful but when I logged out and back in or ran /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V it still shows the old WHM 11.38.0 (build 19).

So I tried /scripts/upcp --force and at the end it says:
    [20140116.082243] Maintenance completed successfully
    [20140116.082244] Running Standardized hooks
    [20140116.082244]
    [20140116.082244] cPanel update completed
[20140116.082244] A log of this update is available at /var/cpanel/updatelogs/update.1389859477.log
    [20140116.082244] Removing upcp pidfile
    [20140116.082244]
    [20140116.082244] Completed all updates

But still not upgraded. I've attaced the log...

    Hello :)

Please check the following option in Web Host Manager:

"WHM Home » Server Configuration » Update Preferences"

Which release tier is your server configured to?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

To upgrade from 11.38 to 11.40 release tier, mysql 5.1 or higher should be installed on the server.
I guess you might be getting such warning in WHM. Please check it out.

    Thanks,
