When I try to run the cpanel update, it tells that it is already running. So I then kill the upcp processes, and try again. This time I get about 300 lines of errors:

I tried search the forums, but could not find a solution. I am on a VPS server running WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-S119 CentOS 3.5 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

    Any ideas?

    you could try editing
    /etc/sysconfig/named

    and commenting out the line

    # ROOTDIR="/var/chroot/named"

    and restart named

I did as you suggested and got the same error. I even rebooted the server before trying to run the /scripts/upcp

    Any other thoughs or ideas?

is your cPanel updated as the script run? You are having the error because you are on a VPS platform and VPS does not support "chattr"

I've been getting this error too, was fine up until the 7/2/2007 and then started giving the same errors as stated above.

To add some more mystery to the mix - I have another VPS account running almost identical set-up and it is updating fine.

It would be great if someone could suggest a fix for this (nudge, nudge).
