Hi, all-

Basically, I have been trying to updagrade my CPANEL for a while. It did it one night and broke my CPANEL (I was getting the processing directive error).

But the problem is that when ever I try to update, the file cpanel.tgz wont complete download.... so update will not complete. Basically, now I have a partially updated CPANEL that doesnt work.. and in turn, broke my Fantastico.

I have tried EVERY tree- current, edge, stable, release- and I am getting the same problem with all of them.

Why is this happening and what should I do?

What is/are the error message(s) when attempting to upgrade?

.

Well, for example, it will downlad cpanel.tgz and I will get an error "Unable to retrieve file". "update failed."

This happens EVERYTIME... no matter what update tree I use...

It is frustrating!

Go on, have a guess
Do you have a firewall installed on the server? If so, try shutting it down.

Have you checked that the DNS resolvers in /etc/resolv.conf are working? Make sure that you can dig domains from shell and get authoritative responses.

I'd suspect that latter is the problem.

Hi, everyone..

And thanks for the suggestions... unfortunately, none of them have been successful. Here is what my updates look like... notice that cpanel.tgz fails to download... it always happens on that file- no matter what update tree I use.
