CPANEL3 Chat goes down every day

    Hi, my CPanel3 Chat Services does not keep alive for even 12 hours, i need to restart the service every day, does anybody know where the problem can be?

    Portsentry seizing the port eventually? Um...... is that service used frequently? You might want to schedule a restart of your portsentry and CPanel services at least 3 to 4 times a day, it keeps your system healthy and stable.

    It is fairly unlikely to rely on the complete and perfect stability of a system like this especially if you are utilizing all of the CGI-daemon type services.... you have to keep everything in sync with a scheduled restart script every now and then to preserve optimal efficiency/reliability.

    Thanks for the advice, but, what is the recommendation, a cron job to do the restart?

    Because i do not catch at all what the portsenty does.

    Also, i have the same problem with Interchange Shopping Cart, i receive this error frecuently:

    We\'re sorry, the Interchange server is unavailable...
    We are out of service or may be experiencing high system demand. Please try again soon.

    Yes use cron to do this.....
    Portsentry is a security sentry type internal firewall thingy...

    Thanks, and do you know how can i fix the Interchange Problem?

    Also, i want to change of Cpanel Distributor, are you one of them? How is your support to Cpanel?

    Interchange.................
    Well you should probably build that into the script also.

    killall -9 interchange

    And pause for a bit and then.....
    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/startinterchange

    Doh, no I missed the word chat. Wrong thread to make that post then I guess. I am talking about CPanel itself not the chat.
