    Hi,

I was checking my server to see what version of PHP various accounts are running on (using selectorctl --list-users --version=5.6) and I noticed an account listed in the results called cpanel_support which doesn't appear in my WHM accounts. Anyone know what this is? Can I delete it, and if so, how?

    Thanks,

    Will.

    Hi willke

I can't tell you whether or not to remove the user but I can tell you cpanel_support is not a user that is created by us - if you're unsure of its origins though I would suggest contacting your provider before making any modifications to ensure it's not something that they've created.

More than likely you can use userdel to remove the user userdel(8): delete user account/related files - Linux man page

Thanks for your reply, Lauren. Sorry for the delay in replying, I'd missed the notification email.

I've now removed the account as you suggested. :)
