For some reason I have a 0MB domain setup with a cpanel account. The domain is "*unknown*".

I have looked and I cannot seem to figure out how or why this has happened. Any ideas?

Which cPanel version are you using ? I can see it's some system user which are showing in list account with the /var partition. There is something wrong on your configuration. Can you please contact cPanel support team OR ask your system admin to check this user list.

Hello,

A previous bug in cPanel version 11.57 (development build for 11.58) resulted in the creation of cpuser files in the /var/cpanel/users directory. This was fixed in cPanel version 58:

Fixed case CPANEL-6657: Don't create cpuser files for system users.

You can manually remove those cpuser files from the /var/cpanel/users/ directory if you were affected by this bug.

Thank you.

Hello,

You should manually remove the files under the /var/cpanel/users directory that match those usernames. They are not actually accounts and should not exist. Once removed, run the following command:

Code:
/scripts/updateuserdomains
Thank you.

Hello,

Internal case CPANEL-11510 is open to monitor reports where rogue users appear in "WHM >> List Accounts" due to the existence of files associated with cPanel services in the /var/cpanel/users/ directory. I'll update this thread with more information on the status of this case as it becomes available.

Thank you.

Hello,

Internal case CPANEL-11510 was closed, as the issue is not reproducible in the latest cPanel 64 builds. Feel free to let us know if you experience this issue going forward.

Thank you.
