    Hi,

I'm facing daily Overload from cpanellogd process , When It run i can see an immediate gtar and gzip process has started to make an archive for my log files and compress it in /usr/local/apache/logs/archive
It is causing very high load , Is there any way to make cpanellogd run without compressing logs .?

I'd be grateful if i get help ..

    Thanks

Although the cpanellogd process does utilise a fair amount of CPU, it is "niced" to 19 giving it the lowest possible priority.

This means that other processes will be given a higher priority when competing for CPU resources, so even though your CPU Load may appear high, you may find that your server is actually performing fine as far as serving up web pages etc. goes.
