    Hello,
quick question, might be dumb but here it goes:
Why does Cpanel set up a CNAME record for www for a created domain instead of an A Record ?

I thought it was conventional wisdom to not have CNAME records for www since it might cause an extra dns lookup.

Am I way off or is this a bug?

    Thank's for an answer

    Wondering

Good point. You can always change this to the method you prefer, though, using the "Edit Zone Templates" link in WHM.

There's an interesting problem I'm actually having with the CNAME's. Some of my customers have been complaining about problems with their domains. I check and everything looks A-OK. But when I ask them, they can only resolve domain.com, not www.domain.com.

Something's all wacky. Anyone have any clues?

WARNING: Pointless reply. Sorry. Couldn't resist.

Yes, but does everything look CNAME-OK?
