    Hi.

I have a problem with cpbackup hanging on a cPanel-server.

The /backup/cpbackup/daily/cpbackupstatus.cfg.lock has the following content:

    5418
    /scripts/cpbackup - waiting for lockfile

    The logfile has the following:

[cpbackup] Started at Thu May 5 15:06:30 2011

There is no backup being done, and that is all the info i get. I've had to kill the script with kill -9 each time. I've triplechecked the config, everything is correct, the nfs-mount can be written to and there is loads of space available. No matter what i do (deleting the lock-file and so on) it still hangs as soon as i start the script.

I've tried to see if i could find any info on google/this forum, but i haven't found anything helpful. Does anyone know what might cause this and if there is a possible solution?

    Hello,

If you are sure cpbackup is not currently running (check with ps afux), try removing the cpbackup lock file at:

    /var/cpanel/backuprunning

This should allow cpbackup to run.

    Thank you,

Ah, great. Thanks. I thought the .lock-file was the lock-file.

Killed all, removed the backuprunning-file and restarted the cpbackup-script. Still looks like it's hanging though. Will wait for 30 minutes and see before i conclude with anything.
