Help me people!!! cpbackup driving me crazy. loads last night stayed over 20% for cpbackup and CP commands. We killed server ... remounted the backup on another IDE chain.. rebooted. Loads and traffic were low like .02 - .10 for 2 hours.
I manually ran /scripts/cpbackup .. I sat here and watched it for 2 hours staring at the results in real time. Out of like 250 accounts it went though all of them in about 45 minutes...small accounts took seconds .. larger ones I saw maybe one at most &waiting for loads to go down& .. all finished just fine and loads never hit more than 3.00. I was so happy. Then it hits a user and I get the &waiting for loads& line like 20 times. I killed it off. Loads were only .50 - .70 at the time. It just so happens that this account was teh last one created on the server. It is IP based and has very little MB in it. It happens to have FP installed and has been published to. Other accounts, the same size, completed in like 5 seconds. see below my example ..note the last one was doing this with TOP loads at .8 -.5 ... I did notice logs running same time.
I would love to keep using the backup. I have tried everything and it just seems to have problems. I finally thought I had it fixed but now it hangs for no reason. Dual 1.13 GHZ P3 1GB ram 2 60GB IBM drives.
