    Hello,
With WHM's Configure Backup, is anyone able to tell me what method backup files are sent through Remote FTP? While a backup file was being sent to a offsite provider I ran the following command in SSH:

    service pure-ftpd status

This tells me what connections there are and the backup one isn't listed. So I'm wondering how it is being sent.

The reason why I'm asking is because the backups are being sent at maximum speeds (100Mb/s), causing very slow site loading times. What I want to do is limit the backups speeds to say 80Mb/s, so that there is capacity for general traffic to run through.

    Thanks,
    LS

Please try a ps aux on the cpbackup user:

    Code:
    ps aux | grep cpbackup
Then after you have the PID numbers for the process(es), run lsof on those:

    Code:
    lsof -p PID#
Simply replace PID number with the PID number of the process.

This should tell you what components are being used to run the backup via FTP remotely on the machine.

    Hi,

I got the PID and ran the second command. Received this as a result:

    Code:
    -bash: lsof: command not found

I noticed they have vsftpd from what I see from the ps command.

Is there a way to set a upload limit from my server for that particular traffic?

    Thanks,
    LS
