I've run across something quite strange in trying to determine why my root partition is fairly full.

Looks like .cpmysqlrpm, .cpcpan, and .cpan are my issues; there are no large files in ~ itself.

    So, that said:

Okay, fair enough ... ~/.cpmysqlrpm/pingtimes/ is the issue.

It goes on like that for a while, but there's no single file there larger than filesize 8, and as you can see, there's only 436 files here.

The same is true in .cpcpan and .cpan as well; /pingtimes is the bulk of the file use, and there's a scad of tiny files that don't matter worth a flip in there. It's quite puzzling.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be the issue? Thanks in advance for any advice that anyone would be able to offer. :)

    Best Regards,
    Geof Morris
