    Hello

I have cpdavd ticked in my service manager. Whenever I try to use a webdisk it always fails because it cannot access the service. If I try to access http(s)://ipaddress:2077 or 2078 no page is displayed.

I have opened both 2077 and 2078 and APF and my local router.

    When I try to run:

    /usr/local/cpanel/cpdavd --start

    I get:

    Code:
    Can't locate IO/Socket/SSL.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/cpanel /usr/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.7/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.6/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.7 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.6 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8 .) at /usr/local/cpanel/cpdavd line 10.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/cpanel/cpdavd line 10.
When I restart cpanel it doesn't appear to even try starting cpdavd.

    Thanks for any assistance.

One blanket fix that can take care of many compile errors is to run a forced Cpanel update.

    /scripts/upcp --force

Hello and thank you for your reply.

When I tried an upcp --force I noticed these errors.

This is a 2 day old Cpanel/WHM install on CentOS 5 64 bit.

    Versions: cPanel 11.24.5-S38506 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9

    I've also tried:

    /scripts/checkperlmodules
    then
    /scripts/upcp --force

    and no cigar.

Thank you for your link but unfortunately this hasn't helped.

My WHM/Cpanel is a Softlayer image, and the server is 2 days old. The WHM install was already v11.

You ever end up fixing that? Just ran into a machine with it as well. Tried upcp, checkperlmodules even installing perl again via the cPanel installer.

    Nope, it's still broken.

You might want to put in a ticket to cPanel to take a look.

I didn't think I was entitled to do so because the cpanel licence is held with softlayer my hosting company and not myself. Is that not the case ?

    Thank you

Open it with your host's support then, they should be able to contact cPanel on your behalf. Provide as much details as you can for a quick solution.

    Hello,

If you are not having any luck please try running "/scripts/perlinstaller --force IO::Socket"
    or
    "IO::Socket::SSL"

If that doesn't work you may need to go ahead and submit a ticket via the link at the bottom of the post.

    Thank you,
    Matthew Curry

    Matthew,

    Thank you for your reply.

    /scripts/perlinstaller --force IO::Socket::SSL

    Fixed it for me.

Now I just need to work out why Windows 7 doesn't want to map it / can't auth properly.

    Thanks for your help.

I ended up having to remove cpan and rebuild it before it was fixed for me. It seems all the cpan modules were having checksum failures. This machine came from Softlayer as well something must be up with their cPanel installer.
