    Old thread

You replied to a thread that was last updated over a year ago, 09-16-2009:

    http://forums.cpanel.net/f5/cpdavd-failed-wed-aug-128925.html

yapluka reported that his problem was resolved by reinstalling Perl, but this is a drastic step and since the thread is so old, there is a good chance that this might not resolve any problem you are currently experiencing.

Are you currently experiencing a problem with cpdavd? If so, can you paste the output from the following commands?

    Code:
    # ls /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/stopcpdavd
    # ls /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/startcpdavd

Check for two different Perl versions

Please make sure that /usr/bin/perl and /usr/local/bin/perl are not both binary files. One should be a binary file, and the other should be a symlink to the binary file. I explained how to do this in this post:

    http://forums.cpanel.net/f5/cpsrvd-failed-unable-restart-cpanel-164754.html#post688886

If this does not help, I recommend submitting a ticket so that we may investigate directly. There are multiple possible causes for this, and we should be able to resolve it in a timely manner if we have access to the server.

This module is required by cPanel, and the system may not function correctly until it is installed, and functional. Below is the results of the auto-install attempt:

    Fix cpdavd failed
    Hello

    How to fix cpdavd failed

We will fix this with this command

    Code:
    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkperlmodules --full
    expect -- /scripts/expectperlinstaller --force version
    /scripts/realperlinstaller --force version
    /etc/init.d/cpanel restart
    /scripts/restartsrv chkservd
After this we will make update fot Cpanel

    Code:
    /scripts/upcp --force
    Done

I found this in a single hop forum and it works perfectly.
