Luckily, when I first got my DV, the cPHulk interface in WHM was usable and efficient......I think that was version 42 or 44.....can't remember exactly which

Because in the latest 66 version it is optuse and a royal PITA to use.

Also, the 2 week suspension option appears to have gone bye bye.

In the previous version there was a simple text box that showed all the deny's, and it was easy to add a rule there, or do a quick add.

Now there's a huge list on the right that details the deny's, and it's VERY PRETTY.

However, when you add a new rule, the option to show how many reverts to 20, so you have to change it to 100/all to see all your rules if you have a lot of them.

And there is NO WAY I can see to do a simple c/p to move your list to a different DV or whatever.

Bottom Line: You took something that was easy to use and efficient, and turned it into a monster that is OBTUSE to use (and obviously uses a ton more processor time to process). But hey.....it sure is PRETTY.

Also, I seem to recall that the previous version let you ban by just entering the first pair, as in 206. ......now you have to put in the full mask 206.0.0.0/8 ..........

.htaccess lets you do 206. or 206.135. and it's smart enough to know what you mean.

But it appears we're losing tech at an amazing rate.......lol

    Hello,

We do offer some WHM API 1 functions to make this type of task easier. Here are some documentation links should you want to explore this:

WHM API 1 Functions - read_cphulk_records - Software Development Kit - cPanel Documentation
WHM API 1 Functions - create_cphulk_record - Software Development Kit - cPanel Documentation

Ranges must be added in CIDR format:

    CIDR format

Regarding the additional issues, I encourage you to submit a feature request for any changes you'd like to see in the cPHulk interface:

    Submit A Feature Request

Our Developers and Community Managers utilize the feature request website to help determine how to shape the product going forward.

    Thank you.

    Also........no more 'quick add' ..........

A lot of time must have been spent on 'improving' cPHulk ........with the result that it's now a POS to use......lol

Now that is funny..........Cause what they did is REMOVE some usable 'features'......lol

Forcing you to use CIDR instead of just an abbreviated IP is a Step BACK......

And considering the current 'mentality' of the developers, I'm SURE they will get RIGHT ON restoring that 'feature'.......lol

Usability seems to be at the bottom of their Development Totem Pole......

Witness having to learn an API to get what was easily there to begin with in a text box.

Does anybody still adhere to the KISS method?, or has that been lost also?

I started reading that API documentation and my eyes instantly glazed over....lol

    Bottom Line: UnBEAL ..........
