Does anyone know how to jig CPPOP and change the delimiter character from "+" to an "@".

I am migrating TO cpanel, and the POP proxy I currently use (Perdition) uses @ as the character once its logged in.

I.e. I want users to be able to log into CPPOP and then use for a username:

    username@domain.com

    instead of

    username+domain.com.

username@domain.com with "@" should work just fine.

I've yet to come across an email client that will not accept "@" in the account name field and requires the use of "+". I'm actually curious what the history is behind this ...

If your clients use standards such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Entourage, Thunderbird, etc. etc. you should not have a problem.

Both of those formats you posted will work through a cPanel based server :)
