cppop doesn't completely lock POP3 mailboxes

    If you log in the same POP3 account again - it logs you out of the first POP3 session. According to the various POP3 RFCs it should lock and not let another session in.

    This means that your client needs to recognise that it's been logged out.

    Some don't - with hilarious consequences...

    Can anyone suggest a workaround while it sits in bugzilla (#1697)?

    I don't believe that you'll be able to do much in the meantime as the cppop server is one of the few closed-source daemons on a cPanel server, which is a shame.

    Pretty bad issue really, especially if it is not what you're expecting.
