I've been trying to install the cPSupport addon in cPAddons for quite some time now and can't seem to get it to work.

I put up a dummy install, and it spits of a 403 error.

    The server logs produce this:
[Sun Feb 21 22:47:42 2010] [error] [client xxx] (13)Permission denied: file permissions deny server access: /home/xxx/public_html/cpsupport/index.cgi

I tried setting the permissions to 755 and 777 respectively, but then the files just started to download in the browser as if there were a segfault. I checked to ensure there was an appropriate Apache Handler and Mime Type setup for .cgi files.

I also tried with SuExec on and off.

Searched cPanel forums with no success.

Any ideas? (Also have a ticket on this 583254)
