    cPSupport is now available for FREE under Addon Scripts in WHM. We hope that this will be a helpful addon for all of our customers.

    What is cPSupport?
    cPSupport is a support program that is made by cPanel for its users to use to provide a ticket system for supporting their customers.

    Current Features
    * Fully customizable vi a templates (uses HTML::Template)
    * Full email Integration
    * One step installer/upgrades
    * Ability to have multiple levels of tech

    ToDo
    * Customer Karma, let your techs leave notes about customers
    * Tech Feedback, let customers leave detailed information about how your techs handled their issues
    * cPanel/WHM Integration: Be able to leave tickets from cPanel and respond from WHM
    * Ticket Limits: Set limits to the number of tickets a customer can open in a specific queue

    Installation Instructions
    * Install under Addon Scripts in WHM
    * From shell run: /scripts/perlinstaller HTML::Template GD::SecurityImage
    * In cPanel do a 1 click installation of the program under addon scripts.

    Demo
    You can visit the demo at http://cpsupport.cpanel.net/cPSupport/
    To see a client account, create an account or use
    client/demo

    To see a technician account you may use
    tech/demo
    This is a level 2 technicial

    Unfortunatly there is currently no way to see a demo of the administration interface.
    *Please note that this is also used as a testing ground so there may be features available on here not yet available in the released version.

    How does this work with multiple resellers on a server?
    Does the ticket system automatically recognise who the resellers are and their customers can get support from them only.

    I have been able to install fine.
    Code:
    /scripts/perlinstaller HTML::Template GD::SecurityImage
    The above worked in a shell as root no problem.

    However, cPanelBilly, The user table, on a fresh install has an entry in it, but it does not show up when veiwing users via the admin. It shows via phpMyAdmin.
    Is it safe to delete that entry? Is it necessary?

    No do NOT delete that user, it needs to be there for ticekts that are not yet assigned.

    This is currently in teh TODO. But what will happen is when a reseller installs this, all of their customers that put in tickets will have it piped to the support desk.

    Looks nice. Would be nice to add the ability for the user to reopen a ticket if needed. I've had to do that myself in the past when support is in a hurry to close it.

    I'd like to see this, too.
    Overall though, I'd have to say that this has a very clean, well thought-out interface. Very intuitive. Nicely done. Installed quickly and easily. Perfect timing as we were in the process of looking for a new system and I'm looking forward to using it.

    well nevermind on the how to. I figured it out.

    if you create a ticket called support it will auto create a forwarder pipe to support@<domainname>

    However the pipe path is incorrect

    the default pipe path the script adds is |/usr/local/cpanel/cpsupport/bin/support

    it should be /home/<web username>/public_html/<installed foldername>/bin/support

    also config.cgi had 0644 perms and needs 0755 perms

    Hrmm. I am receiving errors for config.cgi even after changing perms..
    Can't locate ../config.cgi in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.6/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.6 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .

    change the ../config.cgi to this /home/accountname/public_html/foldername/config.cgi in bin/support
    using your favorite editor
