User Domain %CPU %MEM Mysql Processes
    ###### ######.com 2.84 1.11 0.1
    Top Process %CPU 71.6 /usr/bin/perl -w mt.cgi
    Top Process %CPU 64.3 /usr/bin/perl -w mt.cgi
    Top Process %CPU 30.4 /usr/bin/perl -w mt.cgi
    ###### ######.net 1.96 21.55 0.0
    Top Process %CPU 89.3 /usr/bin/perl ./awstats.pl
    Top Process %CPU 86.2 /usr/bin/perl ./awstats.pl

is there something that can be done about such a high cpu usage with both of these runnung, does anyone know what part of mt uses so much cpu resources?

    Many Thanks

Maybe it's during a rebuild of all the html pages. What version is it? I think in their latest version it only rebuilds the pages that have changed.

It isn't nightly, it's done manually. For example if there is spam comments the user has to manually delete it and for the change to show you have to rebuild.

Watch out for those MovableType scripts. Sometimes the user's indedx/catalog gets corrupt and the process will spiral out of control (we even lost complete control once and had to hard reboot the server thanks to mt.cgi).
