When I run cpupdate to bring my self to the next version, I am getting errors about my name servers not resolving? I am at the planet and they seemed to be workign, what is the best way to troubleshoot this..

THEPlanet support said my outgoing firewall rules are too restrictive also, they are setup by configserver.

I have not seen this issue before and I think my server is fubard because of several failed and or cancelled updates.

How are you running the update, exactly?

What is the contents of your /etc/resolv.conf file?

This should be a short list of the nameservers that you are using on your server to resolve DNS queries. You can then test these servers to verify they are working. Could be a place to start.
